Haandarbejdets Fremme - The Danish Handcraft Guild is an organisation which was established in 1928 to preserve the tradition of Danish embroidery. The Danish Flower thread was created for one of their popular designers, Gerda Bengtsson - every time she needed a new colour or shade of thread, one was created for her.
When I look at this picture I can smell the gorgeous fragrance of lilacs! Design is by Gerda Bengtsson and measures approx 17 x 21 cm.
